Active, sustainable forestry
By tradition, Dylta Bruk conducts active, sustainable forestry, characterised by responsibility for the forest environment of future generations.
The average annual logging volume is approximately 17,000 cubic metres of timber for the wood products and pulp and paper industries. The forests contain stands of conifers, aspens, birches and high-grade hardwoods.
The development of new deciduous forest stands is underway. Among other things, major new plantings of wild cherry trees have been made, and trial development has been set up of new stands of curly-grained birch, ash and oak.
In co-operation with forestry organisations and forestry schools, excursions and theme days have been arranged concerning silviculture.
